Pre School Class
We are excited to welcome you and your child/children to our preschool class, which starts at 10:00 am on Sundays at Church in the Pines. This class is for preschoolers 3-5 years of age. In each class the children learn a new Bible verse, along with a story and activities such as: crafts, games, and songs in order to bring the Bible to their level of understanding. These lessons will teach the children, in age-appropriate ways, of our importance to Jesus, how Jesus helps us, and how God made the World. We also invite you and your family to join us in our Fellowship Hall prior to the start of class at our coffee hour for snacks and refreshments. We ask that each child be signed in and out of the preschool class by a parent/guardian.
Kindergarten thru Fifth Grade Classes
Our Bible School Kindergarten thru Fifth grade meet every Sunday morning from 10:00-11:00 am in classrooms in the church and in our Portable Building. This year we have begun a three year journey through the Bible using new curriculum, The Gospel Project. In this study the kids will learn about seeing Christ in all the Scriptures.
The children are also involved with a number of outreach activities in our community and overseas. Among these projects have been visits to a local nursing home and the collection of different items for needy families in our community at Christmas. Children have also really enjoyed choosing their every own pen pals from our sister church in Haiti. The kids also sponsor a child overseas.
Our goal for Bible School is to teach our kids God’s Word and how they can apply it to their everyday lives.
Middle School Class
The Middle School Class is designed for kids in grades 6, 7, and 8. The class meets at 10:00 am in the Portable Building. This class is also using The Gospel Project curriculum. We strive to make their Bible School experience a positive one! We want them to be life long lovers of God’s Word. Through games and activities, time is spent each week developing friendships within the group. Ultimately, through the Scriptures and prayer they develop their relationship with Jesus!
High School Class
The High School Bible Class uses The Gospel Project curriculum geared for grades 9-12. Due to space constraints at the church this class meets off-campus in a local small office building. The teens are transported back and forth on the CIP van.
There are a number of adult classes that meet each week at 10:00 am. A women’s class meets in the Sanctuary and the teaching leadership is shared. Their last study was Soul Rest by Amy Dunham. A Men’s Class meets in the Tower Room and is now looking at the Atonement and it's practical implications for guy's lives. A Mixed Class for men, women, and couples meets in the Fellowship Hall. This year they are reading through the Bible and discussing what they have read and what God is teaching through the Scriptures. The Bible Project has been very helpful in providing video overviews of each book of the Old Testament and New Testament.
