Our Future Home
We own 20+ acres of land nestled among cranberry bogs and woods not far from our current church. Our intention is to build a new church there to accommodate both indoor and outdoor ministry. In a very busy world we believe that one of our real needs is to purposefully slow down to hear from God and from each other.
Currently we move our worship outside there from mid-June to Labor Day weekend. This is our Outdoor Church. People gather to worship under a canopy of pine trees in God's beautiful creation. We also use this land for other outdoor activities during the year and we allow other churches to have events there. Though people bring their own camp chairs, our worship area has benches and picnic tables. Children enjoy the playground and the Junior Church area.
This property is open to anyone to walk during the day. We have cleared a one half mile loop trail around the perimeter of the land and there are a number of other smaller trails to walk, There are benches in a number of places so a person can slow down, enjoy the woods, and pray to the one who made it all. This is all part of our unhurried ministry approach.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. --- Jesus [Matthew 11:29-30 ESV]
